Greetings from Hollow Stone Towers

I'm writing this from the past. By the time you read it I'll be on holiday, which means I've done the thing every author is advised to do and no author actually trusts: written the launch email in advance, pressed the schedule button, and walked away from the internet. Oh no. If this arrives garbled, or three weeks late, or not at all, please picture me somewhere sunny (hopefully not too sunny), blissfully unaware, and be kind.

Two weeks back I launched Sunrise, the first Omnibus edition of the Sunset Chronicles. If that was getting the album after years of buying the singles, then by any kind of logic Apex is the difficult second album. Except, it turned out not to be difficult in the slightest, because all the songs were already written and I just had to remember what order they went in. If only actual second albums worked like that.
